Poetry Book Discussion Bumped, and We're Not Complaining!

Tim Seibles is coming to town, and he'll be reading on Tues. 3 April at 7:00 in Kilcawley Center here at Youngstown State. We're thrilled! That was our book night, so we'll postpone our discussion of C.D. Wright's lovely Rising, Falling, Hovering until 1 May.

We read and discussed Tim's new book Fast Animal (Etruscan Press) in February. We're in for a treat!

April Book Discussion: C.D. Wright's "Rising, Falling, Hovering."

Come join us at the Lemon Grove on Federal St. in Youngstown for a discussion about Rising. Falling. Hovering. We'll meet at 7:00 on Tues. 3 April.

From the Copper Canyon website:

C.D. Wright, one of America's most compelling and idiosyncratic poets, has developed an unmistakable voice and penetrating vision. As Publishers Weekly noted in a starred review, "Wright gets better with each book, expanding the reach of her art; it seems it could take in anything."

Deeply personal and politically ferocious, Rising, Falling, Hovering addresses, as Wright has said elsewhere, "the commonly felt crises of [our] times"—from illegal immigration and the specific consequences of empire to the challenges of parenting and the honesty required of human relationships.
